So you want to know a little bit more about my background? A quick career summary would include:
- 20+ years leading a growing, independent company
- 14 years as an elected official, including tenure as Mayor of the City of Clayton
- Extensive service on non-profit and government boards and commissions
- A master’s degree in counseling psychology

What am I passionate about?
My passion is to help leaders grow so they can invite all team members to contribute their talents and abilities and thereby transform their organizations.
As Steve Jobs once said, “Great things in business are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of people.”
Trust me, you can’t spend 14 years in the political trenches without learning a thing or two about building consensus. Today, I apply many of the same techniques that brought city leaders together across the aisle to new challenges:
- Facilitating insightful discussions among Vistage peer advisory group members
- Asking the tough questions in coaching sessions to get down to the real issues at hand
- Helping senior leadership teams through the collaborative process of strategic planning
